Tusk Lyrics
Why don't you ask him if he's going away?
Why don't you tell me what's going on?
Why don't you tell me who's on the phone?
Why don't you ask him what's going on?

I believe this song was written by Lindsey Buckingham on finding out Stevie Nicks (who was still sleeping with him despite being broken up and him in a relationship) was hiding from him an affair she was having with bandmate Mick Fleetwood (who was also married at the time).
"Why don't you tell me what's going on?
Why don't you tell me who's on the phone?
But don't say that you love me
Just tell me that you want me" -
My interpretation is that, Fleetwood Mac was such a fascinating and moving entity to me when I was very young, just a child. Most of their songs Felt sooo confident and sooo far beyond the normal every day realm – – so as an adult, it's a bit boring to realize all the incestuous relationships and kind of disappointing adult complications that inspired this songs. In any case, very talented band. Thankful for the way they moved me when I was a kid. Hope all the members are still sane and not ailing.

Something is telling me it's about a girl who's so concerned with her relationship with a man and how she thinks he's cheating. In the mix of it all, there is another man waiting to sleep with this girl for a while and he's seducing her to a one night stand with him and he's thickening the doubt she had about her lover.
This is just a personal effort, not in any way based on a true fact.
