No Way Back Lyrics
-
I always thought it was about Grohl's daughter being born. Meeting her for the first time...no way back from where she came (the womb).

hits me in a place that says, despite the lyric uses introductory terms, hes considering a very big desicion he's made to live and be IN life, conscious and making a difference, WITH someone he's been avoiding or fighting with in the past.seems to be underlying notes of social commentary,no left and right.the Warning? could mean many things, but is seems to mean that if you're going to join forces with him in this decision, whether a relationship or some pursuit in life, you better be ready for all the good AND the bad that will come from it and don't you dare give up or give in..once you pass a certain milestone, there is no way back. you can only move forward. I've read several interpretations which claim some kind of "god" reference. but sorry, that just doesn't work for me. This life is here for you to live and you have to learn to take it all...the fight is in the lyric. the despair, the dead feeling but it seems to be some kind of statement about taking control, taking a stand and moving forward..do we really have to credit god for a powerful rock lyric like this? fantastic song, better than DOA on that album..imo
