Song Released: 1988
Cool Water Lyrics
With out the taste of water... cool, water.
Ole Dan and I, with throats burned dry,
and souls that cry
for water... cool, clear water.
The nights are cool and I'm a fool.
Each star's a pool of...
-
Cool water is clear
Each verse describes the souls journey for a savior Which is Jesus Christ who is called The Living Water!!!
The Big green tree is where Jesus bought our redemption and is waiting for us to come and believe in Him.
Don't Listen to him Dan is clearly concerning the Devil not a man trying to hinder us on our quest for Christ "The Living Water."
Verse 3 "tonight we pray for Water" And way up there He'll hear our prayer and Show us where there's water." The Prayer is an awakening to the fact without God we can not find HIM!! JESUS "The Living Water."
Verse 4 Find their rest where there's No Quest for water is Heaven a place rest for the weary soul where there is plenty of Living Water. -
Joni might well have been reflecting on the siminal book "Cadillac Desert" with this amazing version of the old cowboy songs.
