Paul Simon: Look At That Meaning
Look At That Lyrics
Look at this
Drop a stone in the abyss
Then walk away and know that anything can happen
Just like that
Just like this
Look at that
Look at this
Gimme a hug, gimme a kiss
Then hey, hey, off to school we go
You might learn...

I believe this is an ode to sex--as an act of love ("lovers merge and make a wish"), an act of profound, mysterious procreative potential ("then walk away and know that anything can happen"), an act of total unity, and, hey, quite a bit of fun, too (who wouldn't have fun saying those repeated syllables?). It also has its accompanying drawbacks--after going "over the top", "if you're looking for worries, you've got 'em"--and it's always a learning experience, which I add because it's the only way I can make sense of the various comments about school scattered throughout the song.
I could, of course, be wrong.
