I feel like it's talking about a marriage that went stale. they keep mentioning sylvia plath, a poet who killed herself after her husband abandoned her. This could mean that they're scared of being left by their partner, or scared of what they'll do to themselves if that happens. I think the line "we've gotta be able to move" either means they know they've got to stop clinging to or smothering their partner.

This is completely confusing, all of the lyrics don’t add up whatsoever. But I do think it has something to do with a partnership, searching for a way to live or complete something while moving/hiding from society.
