This song was inspired by the writings of psychologist Carl Jung. During Jung's travels in Africa, he witnessed and took part in some tribal rituals that involved loud drumming and frenzied dancing on a hot night.
Even though Jung was a sophisticated, modern Westerner, he felt a certain indescribable power, something almost magical, taking control of his mind. He felt as if all humans share a certain animalistic bond, and that the music and the African heat were touching him on a primal level.
