It's Me Again, Margaret Lyrics
And he only had just one thought on his brain
Every evening about midnight he'd sneak off alone
And call the same lady on a pay telephone
'It's me again, Margaret
Hello, is this...
-
Haven't heard it in almost 40 years; on the surface, it's about an obscene caller. After he got busted, he used his one phone call to call her one last time.
I doubt if there's any deeper meaning than that; it's pretty explicit (and rather lame.)
The last stanza:
It's me again, Margaret.
They've got me Margaret.
You won't miss me, Margaret,
but I'll miss you.
