Red Hot Chili Peppers: Storm In A Teacup Meaning
Storm In A Teacup Lyrics
Let me show you what I'm talking about
You try to be a lady
But your walkin' like a sour kraut
Looka looka lika lika
Like you want to get some
If you never tell a lie
Then you never have to play dumb
Dirty baby time...
-
I think is about a girl that loves sex...like a nympho, and she kind of make out with pretty much everyone and( dirty baby time you gonna get some,etc....)
And then Ant is asking for back-up because she is insatiable.
This is my view. -
A storm in a teacup by definition is something small that is blown out of proportion. Someone is being dramatic... now take that definition and the sexual meanings along with a mix of other RHCP themes and run with it.
-
Every thing is perfect and then you meet a guy and everything in your little perfect world... or "teacup" comes crashing down.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
This is just my opinion, and I'm probably not the only one here like this but I pretty much ONLY listen to RHCP, and I really think about the meanings when listening to the songs and I get an almost completely sexual vibe from this one, because of his many sexual exploits when he was young, you should all read scar tissue, its an amazing book
-
Could be a reference to rough days ahead? There is a practice performed by gypsies and psychics, they look at tea leaves left over in a tea cup and predict your future. much like palm reading and all that other garbage.....who knows
-
haha it kinda sounds like a sexual thing to me. A tiny storm in your teacup......teacup representing their vagina and him doing them.
idk it could be possible -
My interpretation of this is to do with helen of troy! Not "heavens to murgatroid" but heavens to murder troy. A huge battle over one chick - a storm in a teacup.
-
Not sure about this, but...
Early on in the song, anthony kiedis says "heavens to murgatroid!", which is a catch phrase of cartoon character snagglepuss.
Despite contrary belief that the lyrics are "wu tang, wu tang, it's a kinda cool thang", the actual lyrics for that section are "rootay wootay gitta gotta gootay", according to the official guitar tablature book .
Since kiedis' singing style has now changed from rapping to singing, he is reported to dislike playing this song live, and it is rumoured to be released as a single.
