Calvin Harris: We'll Be Coming Back Meaning
Song Released: 2012
We'll Be Coming Back Lyrics
But I'm wishing I'd stayed
In the back room something I heard you say
We didn't want to call it too early
Now it seems a world away
But I miss that day, are we ever gonna feel the same?
Standing in the light till it's...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's about a couple who slowly drifted apart, not really knowing what happened. With ambiguities and distance separating them, Basically the man misses the woman really bad, and his thoughts of her are haunting him.
"Someone had to draw the line" is the point where he got so obsessed with her that he was forced to cut ties with her, even if he didn't want to, it was, ironically for himself.
"We'll be coming back for you one day" really refers to the thoughts about her, and the thoughts are making a statement, telling him that "we'll be coming back for you one day" even though he thought he got over her at one point or another.
"I don't even care if I know you, out of our minds, trying to leave it all behind" is really a warning to her, he doesn't know if he can control himself anymore because he really wants to be with her. -

#2 top rated interpretation:i thinks its about drug use in the club/rave scene in my opinion but he covered it up to sound like a couple fighting, lots of artists do it like Molly in the sky with daimonds is about lsd.
standing in the light till its over out of our minds - taking pilling pills in a club
someone had to draw a line - cocaine
we'll be coming back for you one day - maybe he stopped using them or he'll be back to use them soon or maybe he toned down the drug use when he met a girl.
just a thought don't...dont hate me... -
The song can have 2 meanings, the first meaning is that the song is talking about the robbery, the second meaning is a group of boys(among them her boyfriend) that remember parties with a girl who's friend with them and they're trying to rescue her because for some reason she's lost or kidnapped

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Sorry i meant so lucy in the sky with diamonds about the lsd in the last comment, molly just popped into my head cause its slang term for pills

we'll be coming back for you one day isn't a single person talking to another i think hes talking about himself and the emotion of the song and were it can take you -_- just what i think also when he says we'll be coming back for you one day means that you are able to get rid of the negative emotions perfectly and you will be coming back to us one day XD

I think the song is about how a couple drifted so far apart that they stopped trying to make the relationship work, and the artist is talking about a possibility of resolving issues which he let the chance slip away and is regretting it but feels its not too late and its high time to get things back to order even if the situation maybe lost to cause, even if his ex doesnt want to get back together he'll try until one day he succeeds.
