Little Mix: Case Closed Meaning
Case Closed Lyrics

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:A lot of people think there was physical abuse and a trial and stuff but I think it's not that literal. I feel like it's about a girl who has ended a relationship but she still remembers the way his body feels on hers and while he's moved on and gotten closure, she still hasn't, hence no case closed (case closed can be an idiom for closure, doesn't necessarily mean there was an actual case).

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:i think this goes with five other of their songs. 1. Red Planet 2. Going Nowhere 3. DNA 4. Madhouse 5. Case Closed. in this one i think their in court for killing him. and she tries to explain her side of the story, saying that he was abusing her so she abused him back, which ended up killing him. even tho he was dead she was pronounced innocent but for her the case wont be case closed bc she can still feel him and secretly still loves and misses him

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:See I always had the impression she was raped but maybe it's just me, you know read the lyrics it all sounds like he raped her she told police he pleads guilty in court and even though he is gone (imprisoned) to her hell never be forgotten, as the police forget once the case is closed but for the victim it's never case closed, this is the song that helped me through the police investigation and court case of sexual abuse!

I think Leigh anne should have time to think about what happened in her life, but she will has her bff's on her Sade, the end
-
Case Closed is about an abusive relationship and if the girl goes to court, the guy would be found guilty.
The song is based of one of the singers, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and her then boyfriend, Jordan Kiffin.
Kiffin slapped her face in a restaurant and left, she apparently broke down a short while later, the judge said that he used his size as "intimidation" and gave him a restraint order. -
The lyrics tell the story of an abusive relationship and then the girl ends up going to court. "cause I still want to hold you" shows that they still cared for this person.
It was once reported that Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock and her then boyfriend had an argument that then turned physical.
Also, in numerous occasions in interviews, Little Mix has said that they take inspiration from real life whilst writing. Also, if you look in the song writing credits, all four girls are listed. -
i think it's about domestic violence.
“got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body, put your right hand on the book and you were found guilty” meaning the antagonist has left some form of bruise on the protagonist which has resulted in them being taken to court.
also “i don’t want to climb, i’m afraid to fall” to mean, “i don’t want to press charges; i’m scared they won’t believe me.”
“never have closure cause i still wanna hold ya” indicates that they don’t want to tell anyone because after everything they still love the person they’re with.
maybe idk -
"Hits when Im asleep right through I'm cold when I wake cause I won't feel you" I think here she is remembering that its over between her and the guy and realizes that he is no longer there with her
"When I can't breath I know its you got a lump in my just thinking of you" She is devastated that he is gone and misses him
"Makes no difference you been tried, still sick inside; its meant to be over now but I think we're going down" even though she is sad the he is gone, there is nothing she can do to reverse things cause they already talked about how they can't be together and she is still bitter about the way things ended
"Got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body" shows that they had something real and she remembers the intimate touches they had
"Got your right hand on the book and you were found guilty" guilty he doesnt want to be with her and she is hearing the truth
"I can't wait forever but that how its gonna be, for there'll never be case closed" She wants him back but she knows that she can't have him so she knows that she has to move on
"No matter what the verdict says" No matter what anyone says its over between them
"Too many questions in my head" she is confused as to why it ended and why they can't be together
"And I'm still waiting for a while; why there can never be a case closed" She still waits for him to come back no matter how long because she sinse she doesn't understand why it ended the case isn't closed for her although it been over
"Behind these walls so tall, I dont want to climb Im afraid to fall" She wants to talk to him about it but she knows his guard is up and she is afraid that if she tries to get answers she won't like the outcome and just get hurt in the process
"So we both do time, and never have closure cause I still want to hold you" Since she is afraid to speak to him its creates and awkward enviorment for both of them when they encounter eachother and in the end she is hurt/angry and still left with unanswered questions about how he feels and why it ended plus she still wants to be with him
"There can never never be a case closed" she is never gonna get the closure she wants about this relationship -
The girl was raped but she still remembers the guy, even though he was found guilty and is in jail. "Got your fingerprints as evidence along my body, but your right hand on the book and you were found guilty"
-
I think it is about a girl who was cheated on and had to end it and for her it will never be cased closed. The bit about putting the right hand on the book mean she anx d him both know that he cheated and if it was a court case he would be guilty
-
Most people think it's about a girl that got raped.
But personally I think it is about a girl in a relationship and gets abused and she gets tired of it and called the police so her boyfriend or husband gets put in jail for it. And even though she was mad and did that she still loves him and misses him.
( I'll translate the lyrics. )
" Hits when I'm asleep right through
I'm cold when I wake cause I won't feel you
When I can't breathe I know it's you
Got a lump in my throat just thinking of you." -
It's about a girl who was raped and even though the man who raped her is in jail and the case is closed, she still feels like he will never be gone.
-
I feel like this could interpeted in two ways: It could be about never really getting over someone even though it didn't work when they were together, but I think it's more likely it's about physical and emotional assault from the victims pov.It sounds like the story of someone after they were raped or fell victim to domestic violence.
"Got your fingerprints as evidence all on my body"
And the assailant would've been someone who they trusted and were close to too.
"cause I still wanna hold ya" -
I think its about a girl who has been through a breakup where the boy possible chated and he didn't care 4 here like he should but as they say quote "you don't know what you got before its gone" and he rrealize that he made a mistake and trying to get the girl back. But the girl won't take him back and says that the case is closed- M
-
I think it's about a girl whose broken up with a guy and she thinks that that's the end of them completely. Then she finds herself missing him and case closed she needs him.
I know it's different to the other two and you have to think about it a little, but that's what I see :) -
I think in this case she might have been the side chick and she found out . The guy promised to break up with his girlfriend to be with her , But he never does . So while se waits for him to do it ... she realizes they shouldn't be togheter cause it feels like the guy still loves his ex and they can never be case closed . So the. She tells herself You shouldn't wait for him you have to end it ! o end it . So Case closed the first time means she and him will never be a couple so she ends the case . Case closed the second time means the guy and his ex gf won't ever be done never be case closed.
-
I think that it's about no matter what the guy does to her, she'll always love him. Even if he's found guilty of something horrible, she'll love him no matter what.
