Macklemore: Same Love Meaning
Song Released: 2013
Featuring: Mary Lambert
Same Love Lyrics
When I was in the 3rd grade
I thought that I was gay
Cause I could draw, my uncle was
And I kept my room straight
I told my mom, tears rushing down my face
She's like, "Ben you've loved girls since before pre-K"
Trippin', yeah,...

#1 top rated interpretation:See, THIS is what rap should be about. This actually has meaning to it. And a good meaning at that. This song is mainly about equality and acceptance, mainly of same gender relationships. Also, about how you shouldn't let the bible stop you from being yourself. Definitely one of the most meaningful and inspirational rap songs I've ever heard, and I don't even listen to rap music. Amazing song!

#2 top rated interpretation:I ABSOLUTELY adore this song. I am a christian, and usually a religious christian would hate this song. But i think that this song is so true in many ways. We should all definatly accept eachother for who we are, most of my friends are gay or lesbian. This does not mean I agree with them or what they aredoing, but i acfwpt and love them no matter what.

Macklemore explained that the song also came out of his own frustration with hip hop's positions on homosexuality. "Misogyny and homophobia are the two acceptable means of oppression in hip hop culture. It's 2012. There needs to be some accountability. I think that as a society we're evolving and I think that hip hop has always been a representation of what's going on in the world right now. -wikipedia
I respect the LGBTI. They have the right to love and be loved. The only thing which bothers me is the judgment of God. He made male and female and no in between. Only God knows but I believe God is a merciful God.
No offense, same sex marriages.. how are they going to make love.. I'm aware they adopt kids, if more genders marry the same gender.. The humans will be extinct. But I don't know what will happen in the future. Peace.

I see it as in life who you love is who you hold close.. i had a friend come out and tell everyone how she felt and after hearing this song i realized sure you can love someone but what the heart wants is the honest truth.. my frind is now well and happy accepted by everyone she knows and her and her girlfriend are doing well point is love who you want you are who you are.
-
i think that be who you are and don't let nobody stand in the way of who love because you are who are and nothing else.
-
You can't change you love who you love.

This song is about how love wins over anything else. Ok so say if your daughter was lesbian or bisexual/your son was gay or bisexual would you kick them out just because of that i know that i wouldn't i mean you love who you love right? if you love someone love them.
If your a boy say that you were falling in love with another boy and if your a girl say that you were falling in love with another girl. Would you let your family, friends or society get in the way of who you love?I mean if you fall in love you fall in love and that love will carry on.you won't let anything get in the way of who you love.
my point is that:
YOU LOVE WHO YOU LOVE AND YOU'LL NEVER LET ANYTHING GET IN THE WAY!!!! -
This song means the whole aspect on homosexuality.

I think that it is an amazing song. This amazing song is about acceptance, mostly of same sex relationships. Awesome lyrics and a brilliant tune. When the woman sings it really strikes a cord with me. I know it's mainly about same sex relationships but it can also stand for general acceptance of anyone. Loving and accepting no matter what. This song I basically saying that we shouldnt judge gays lesbians, bisexuals, or anyone. They are who they are and people shoud accept tha
