Pierce the Veil: I Don't Care If You're Contagious Meaning
I Don't Care If You're Contagious Lyrics
I can sing you to sleep all night.
Put me next to the open window,
promise me a second time.
'Cause I don't want to leave without you buried by my side.
I'd rather kill the one responsible for falling stars at...

#2 top rated interpretation:WORDS FROM VIC:
I wrote a great deal of these lyrics after a young fan had explained to me that her boyfriend had just recently died in a car accident. She told me that he held her hand for the first time at our one of our shows. She told me that she just wanted to thank us for being a part of their lives. This was one of the most shocking and heartbreaking things I’d ever heard. I wrote the song as a gift to her. It’s meant to be her boyfriend speaking to her, telling her that he is still watching over her and that he will love her forever. -
This song to me is about meow this girl thinks of her self as imperfect and the boy is trying to tell her that she's important to him and that she's perfect. He also says 'I would kiss you even if you were dead' saying that he loves her so much that even if she was dead he would kiss her. I love this song ^-^

for some reason my interpretation has always been that this song was about a guy's girlfriend who has leprocy and he was trying to convince her that he loves her anyway and doesnt care how contaigious she is he wont let her go. thats just what i always get from it.

Vic wrote this song after hearing a story a fan told him. Her boyfriend had recently passed away due to illness and she was telling vic about how much she loved him and their struggle through his illness. He wrote this song for her.

Personally I think this song is written for a girl he loves but she doesn't love herself so he's trying to convince her that all her imperfections are beautiful and he will love her no matter what. This also ties in with the line "I don't care if you're sick, I don't care if you're contagious, I would kiss you even if you were dead," as despite all her imperfections, he will always love her, it wouldn't matter if she was sick or dying, he would still be by her side. Idk though, that's just what I get out of it.
