Dr. Dre: I Need a Doctor Meaning
I Need a Doctor Lyrics
I'm about to lose my mind,
You've been gone for so long,
I'm running out of time.
I need a doctor,
Call me a doctor,
I need a doctor, doctor
To bring me back to life

I told the world, one day i...

I Need a Doctor is a song about Dre losing his 20 year son Andre Young jr. and how he has been trying to get past it but feels like he needs a doctor to help him keep going.

Satanist...bullshit. Next you're gonna tell me there's actually Illuminati. Anyways, Em's is about how Dre was there for him when nobody else was, and he wants to return the favor to the best he can do, although he will never be able to do enough. Dre's is about his past in the game and how everybody he worked with left him behind, except Em, so he's sticking with Em screaming FUCK YOU ALL to everybody who left him because he doesn't need them. The chorus is, I think, from Em's perspective about how he needs Dre, and it's been so long since his last album. I also know that Em pushed him to finish this album finally.

Firstly, sorry if im wrong. But Eric wright was not dr. Dre's son. doctor dre worked with him but it was not his son.
Dr dre however did have a son who died of drug and alcohol use and is named after Dre himself.
If i am completely wrong i apologize. But please do search on wikipedia for your selfs.
Btw it is a very lovely song, that has touched my heart. -
Its about how dre was slims idol and how slim wants him to be the best he can b nd I also think that it is talking about dre is grieving the death of eric wright (ez e) this is shown in the video as at the end they show the grave of eric who tragically died years ago I think this is a very powerful song nd defo worth buying.

It's eminem tellin dr dre how he believed in him when nobody else did and how he got him to where he is now. Dre gave up on rap and himself after his son died and practically everyone left him (except for slim). Shady is sayin he will do whatever he can for dre and will always be there for him. Dre is sayin screw you guys who left me and he's sayin he's makin 1 more cd and he is done.

Dr. dre was a satanist (yes,an evil worshipper). of what i have researched about all these satanists (which includes all the music and film industries big shots: Lady gaga, jay-z, madonna, tom cruise, rihanna and many more), are still engaged in it.
Dr. dre finally had decided to leave this wrong path. but, once you get in, it requires your most beloved possession to be taken away.
Satanism gets you what you want, it got people name, fame and money, but they lost all the peace and happiness in their lives (britney spears).
you see eminem? there was a time when he was at the peak, the most top rated and payed rapper with all the record labels by his side. But his family life was miserable. his relationship with his daughter and wife was ruined. he was mentally restless.
then came a time when eminem was in the lost. nobody knew where he had gone, his songs weren't coming out. his name was not heard.
again, eminem suddenly comes up being so calm and composed. with having meaning to his lyrics and he is just not as popular as he used to be.
i THINK in this song he explains it. maybe dr. dre helped him leave satanism.
Dr. dre left satanism and he had to sacrifice his son's life for it.
AGAIN, to mention, dr. dre was also lost in a mid- time. nobody knew about his whereabouts, he was lost in the pits.
"but it just dawned on me; you lost a son. Demon's fightin' you, it's dark. "
BUT Finally, dre and eminem came back with this collaboration, explaining how they had to fight back and how dr. dre was the primary support for eminem. -
this song means the personal feelings of dr dre after he saw countless friends peel away from him so now he feels betrayed but he knows em will stay by his side because he owes him his life.
-
Dre's verse is about how Slim is the only one there for him now. He says "All I need is Slim F-ck all you fairweather friends All I need is him" and he talks about how no one believed a white rapper could make it, and that their gonna feel the aftermath. Atleast that's my interpretation.. great song!
-
Well Dre's part is about how he was back stabbed, but also the start of it he talks about Eazy E and how he enjoyed his presence. Eminem's part was all about Dre was the one who helped him out, and now wants him to have fame.
-
Dre was betrayed here by his previous crews, manager, staff of albums who hired him previous years ago 'coz now they hired another hip hop bastards and left Dre behind! Now only Em's in his side left.
-
What about dre's verse?.
-
I think it's about Slim's life when it was f***ed up and how Dre helped fix it. Now slim is trying to show how he knows how Dre feels after his loss and how he is trying to help, but feels locked in a cage because Dre asks slim for advice but slim is looking for a guide.
-
It's about how Dre is always going to eminem now for advice about how hard his life is right now. Em's reminding him that he is the professional and that he's the one that helped Em through everything he went through and that dre is strong and they need each other.
-
It's about Eminem pushing Dre to finsih his album and be the star we know he can be. Em is talking about how Dre helped start his music career, sticking his neck out for him and how Slim's gonna help him now.
