I want to add to the guy before me:

This guy messed up in his relationship (if I could take it all back) and is trying to fix it, but he will accept the partners decisions (nothing is forgiven unless you want it to be), and is she can't decide, he will take care of it (and if it's too late for deciding then just leave it to me)

I'm going to guess the meaning of this song based off of this part " Stay with me, stay with me, stay with me, stay with me, stay with me please cause I'm living, living, living in the darkness". Someone is going to leave him but he doesn't want them to go (stay with me, stay with me, stay with me, stay with me, stay with me please) and without them, he can't be happy ( cause I'm living, living,living in the darkness). I think of the ' darkness ' like depression.
