Maybe the tragedy of the song is that the girl only believes that the guy has moved on, is in love with some other girl, when in reality he desperately wants nothing more than to fix his mistakes, to make things magical.....but the girl he has always loved doesn't seem to want to believe that.....and so he is heartbroken, and so is she.
But I believe true love can conquer anything....even when there is an ocean between you! ;) -
To me this song means
she's been drug down by this person. She looks to him to pick her back up, after he broke her, but he's already moved on with the person he broke her heart for. Getting so wrapped in someone that you lose yourself. It's about being hurt, but staying strong.
