    The song sounds like its about someone like a girlfriend dying, but if you ever go to one of there and get that "one last song" chant going , Shawn Milke sings this song with just him and his guitar and tells you that this song is about his mom dying of a drug overdose, and right before he tells you what its about and sings this song, he will give you his "drugs are dream killers" speech which gets the audience very emotional.
