    BEST ANSWER: Him and her are inlove and she's probably younger than him so he's inlove but also trying to be a father at the same time to guide her to the right path, so she wont make the same mistakes he did. "hold me down, sweet and low little girl" prolly means he wants her to comfort him along the way of the right path. Any other suggestions?
