Bad Meets Evil: Lighters Meaning
Lighters Lyrics
This one’s for you and me, living out our dreams
We’re all right where we should be
Lift my arms out wide I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters
[Eminem]
By the time you hear...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:Eminem's part is a message to the people who doubted he could keep his game tight, now that he's clean. That it was a struggle at first("it wasn’t that long ago when Marshall sat, luster lacked, flustered
Cuz he couldn’t cut mustard, muster up nothing") but that he will always rise to the top ("By the time you hear this I will have already spiraled up I would never do nothing to let you cowards fuck my world up"). It means to much to him ("This rap game’s nipple is mine for the milking,
Till nobody else even fucking feels me, till’ it kills me I swear to god I’ll be the fucking illest in this music There is or there ever will be")
What I get from Royce's part is that he's grateful to Eminem ("To tell Shady I love him the same way that he did Dr Dre on the Chronic Tell him how real he is or how high I am Or how I would kill for him for him to know it")for giving him the chance that no-one else did ("I remember when T-Pain aint wanna work with me")
I'm not sure on the rest, I'm not familiar with his story -
I think the same as everyone else, this song is about them overcoming their obstacles and fulfilling their dreams. This song really has such meaning to the lyrics, and I really enjoy listening to it. It gives me a boost of confidence when listening to it. :)

Lyrically..it may not true but the song actually try to point out how They achieve success through their own struggle, many obstacles in their way.
And even smile and thank their haters for their success...like we saw in Eminem part"i just wanna say thanks cause your hater gave me strength" -
I think this song about how each of these artists overcame their own obstacles and struggles with other people to reach the point that they have now. It's pretty clearly about chasing your dreams no matter where you came from— thus holding up your lighters is symbolic of igniting your dreams.

i think this song is about chasing your dreams and achieving them> :)i love it!i think this song is great!!! ;)
-
Eminem's part is about how all through his Career he was using drugs and it was like his greatness was just a dream, but he quit using and he's still the king hence the 'Had a dream, I was king, I woke up, Still king line'

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

i agree with a lot of people how its eminem being a mentor..but what i think it is about is eminem has told his story and now he wants to thanks everyone who helped him through everything and got him to where he was and now he wants to be the mentor and help people get thru things
