Umm, The Beatles were in India and George saw two monkeys doin it in the road. No one was bothered about it, saying sex can be simple without the games and innuendos.

Okay, I am sick of people thinking they know what is actually going on in across the universe.
Jude is Jude from Hey Jude. Not Paul.
Sadie is a caricature Janis Joplin, and Sadie from Sexy Sadie. (the beatles song.)
Jojo is Jimi Hendrix. Also "Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner..." (get back, the beatles song)
Max is Max from Maxwell's Silver Hammer. (the beatles song)
Prudence is Prudence from Dear Prudence. (the beatles song)
Lucy is Lucy from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. (the beatles song)
=)
And I thought this song is about them practicing for a show in the road. Not sex... -
what if the road they're referring to is not an actual road? For all we know it could be a hideout they had or something. i don't know. think outside the box. john clearly did so we should try to think like him to see what he is talkin about.

Since Paul sings "no one will be watcing us" the act referred to most likely would be something frowned about by the establishment. But would a person have sex or smoke pot in the road? I think that the song is meant to be funny since if you are doing something in the road everyone can see. It could be that the Beatles were so tailed by theh paparazzi that hiding in plain sight was the only option not explored. The Beatles had no more anonymity and could never go back to being private citizens. Maybe the song is meant to make the singer out to be a fool because he doea not hide his activities away.
