Song was clearly written about Edie Sedgwick whom Dylan was allegedly pursuing. The antagonist in the song is Andy Warhol, whom Edie was with at The Silver Factory. Out of jealousy,anger and contempt for ''The Right'' establishment. Where Dylan[the Protagonist] wants to ''pull'' her away from, then and now, asking this Woman that left him for a righteous philosopher of religion who thinks or thought highly of himself in The Higher Power. But according to Dylan[the Protagonist] beliefs, thinks that's not right for her to be used that way. Then asking her ''Can you please crawl out your window? and stand up for yourself in the dark about the dark. Because he's really not where it's at, he's just a Journalist plotting revengeful stories of ''Boycotting'' negative influences [similar to what the progressive Hollywood Actresses and Actors create in their movies]. That they think won't harm or ruin her?
