Brantley Gilbert: Man That Hung The Moon Meaning
Song Released: 2019
Man That Hung The Moon Lyrics
-
This song is really simple about watching his sun grow up and hoping that he turns out to be a good person.
-
I believe its a reflection of how a child believes his father is the end all of everything and even hung the man in moon for his child to experience. But upon maturing realizes his father is just a man with limitations like all men.How we as children perceive our parents as godlike and our growth and their aging should provide for the empathy love and caring that I see as a growth for humility coming to know we are all just flesh and bone and limited in our abilities as humans. But love and caring transcends all disappointment that we all soon perish and the love we share makes it all worthwhile than not.
