Jingle Of A Dog's Collar Lyrics

I was looking for the main line
And I was, working through a friend of mine

I know its the perennial interpretation of any song by a band associated with drugs whatsoever, but I believe this song is about H. "I was looking for the mainline, I was working through a friend of mine, but I couldnt seem to find the time" says to me its about dope. "what do they know about love" speaks to me of the intense euphoria from an opiate. Then again I may just be a recovering addict.

It reminded me of people who shouldn't have kids and do it anyways or just question it for years until it's too late and never do anything about it and so it's saying to me that in these type of people's case that "the Jingle of the dog's collar would be good right here" Like either they should have just got a dog cause they're terrible parents or they should have at leaste god a dog and maybe they'd have seen what good parents they could be. :) That was my interpretation at leaste. Weather it's true or not, I still love the song!
