Tek It Lyrics
And how much can I be expected to tolerate? Uh
So I started to think 'bout the plans I made
The debt unpaid
And you just can't call a spade a spade
I watch the moon
Let it run my...

#1 top rated interpretation:i think it's about getting ghosted/ignored by a person you really love who used to love you back but lost interest? and in the singers point of view (maybe not really the singers story but you get what i mean) she's been trying to move on and so far is doing really well with it, but in a way, she's still stuck with the idea of the person leaving her to the point where she still thinks about it everyday and wonders why they left without saying a word. she thinks she moved on but in reality there's still a little love and hope inside her that thinks they might come back to her, and she surely will accept it and be happy if the person does. she copes by pretending not to care (well she doesn't, it's like a 50/50, she just pretends to not care fully) and criticize him. (not directly.) keep in mind this is my idea, it could have a different story but this is how i understand it, could be because i've kind of been in a situation like this one so yeah, i hope this makes sense.

#2 top rated interpretation:I think it’s about a girl who loves her boyfriend but her boyfriend doesn’t (the lyrics, where did you learn what it means to reciprocate) but only because he likes someone else and had cheated on her and she was watching in the past as he kissed another girl (the lyrics, I watch you (and I watch as things play out like)) so she’s seeing if it’s still worth it to be with him but she finds that he can’t even reciprocate the love she’s giving him so she finds that she just needs to move on (The lyrics, So long nice to know you I’ll be movin’ on) and she watches the moon, to help her cope with her feelings but, even then she can’t stop thinking of him (The lyrics, I watch the moon let it run my mood can’t stop thinking of you)

#3 top rated interpretation:I think its about someone wanting to move on from a relationship thats falling apart, the dude doesnt seem that interested, i feel like he either ghosted her or just cut her out of her life based on their rocky past. Its a bittersweet song that can be interpreted with different meanings but thats my interpretation of the lyrics.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Reciprocate means repaying someone, now I don't really know how that can be used in the lyrics, I think it talks about wanting to repay the the relationship they ruined as it also says "the debt, unpaid" tell me if I got smth wrong!
-
i think its about someone who love someone preciously and the moon reminded of them , but the one they love already love someone else and have someone precious to him , but she didn’t tell him how she felt and she trying to move on without telling him how she felt and why she ignored him . Still the moon reminded of him
-
I think its about a couple with toxic relationship and they want to break up but don’t know how to say goodbye
its a basic theory but probably true -
I think it's about a girl in a toxic relationship with her boyfriend and it's about her leaving it and becoming free from his grasp.
-
It's either One sided love (Where did you learn what it means to reciprocate?) or unrequited love, being in a situation where both of you still loves each other but chose to end the relationship.
In the line (I watch the moon let it run my mood I can't stop thinking of you, I watch you So long nice to know you I'll be moving on)
The girl's pov is about how she can't stop thinking about the person but still chose to let them go for good. This song can be interpreted in many ways (Friendship,Love etc..) But it's most likely a falling relationship where the other person is lying "You just can't call a spade a spade" And she probably knew that they were lying that's why instead of moving on they kept seeking why the person lost interest/Ghosted them.Even though there's a line where the singer said "So long nice to know You I'll be moving on" They still have a place in their heart where they're hoping that person to come back
-
Listening to it felt like it's about how both of them are still in a relationship but don't know how to say goodbye without hurting each others feelings because they both care for each other so much that they didn't want to accept that reality that they're not working out. And on the girl pov is that she's trying to pretend like everythings ok when in reality she just wanted to burst out and do things to make her feel ok like with the moon and her mood lyric thing. i think its her way of coping with her feelings after the breakup.

The song "Tek It" is saying that the person they once loved, doesn't love them as they did before. She could rely on that person, speak the same language and everything was fine until it turns to be upside down. When you meet someone you think they're perfect in every shape or form, but once that person didn't help during the relationship she couldn't tolerate it.
"Where did you learn what it means to reciprocate?
And how much can I be expected to tolerate?
So I started to think about the plans I made
The debt unpaid" -
I feel that maybe it refers to a girl who likes her friend but she doesn't think he likes her back (i know the truth -love she feels towards him- but i cant just say it to you -feeling that he doesn't feel the same). This guy, the person she's been talking to for so long, lately she's been ghosting/ignored by him, so she decides to move on because all this makes her feel really bad (so long nice to know you i'll be moving on), and she is doing it well! but she still thinks about him every day (can't stop thinking of you), she tries to stay thinking that she doesn't feel anything for him anymore so she can leave in peace w/o feeling bad but in the back of her mind she knows that she still loves this boy, maybe less than before but she still feels something and that she still has a small hope that the guy will come back to her and the friendship that was being destroyed will be happy again, of course, this is just what the girl has a lil hopes on, even so, she tries to keep in mind and force herself to lose his feelings towards him (and a few times that you face came into view, im not into you -which is a lie because we know that she still feels something for whom he wants to forget but can not-).
This what I think this lyrics wants to say, everyone can have their own version for the story, I would consider this maybe because i went through a situation like this before, anyway this is just what i think, have a good day/night! ;) -
I think that it was maybe an ex and they were still gonna be friends when they broke up but the ex wasn't a good friend...?
-
I think this is about an arguement between 2 people meaning like 2 people who are like living together thats what is means by (debt unpaid) And also (So long nice to know you i'll be moving on) Like having an arguement and their friendship ended and they are splitting ways. Also it says (I know the truth) Like one person who is arguing with the person can't tell the truth about waht the wrong doing they said
-
A person who has a one sided friendship with someone who has no clue(The last part where it says "I always know the truth but i cannot say it to you"). They have a crush on their friend but understands it wont be reciprocated. So they need to move on but can't stop thinking about them making it difficult. They know their friendship is coming to an end due to these feelings.
-
Its about the unrequited love between two people who love each other, despite them not admitting it to each other.
-
Sedona, the person singing, says the person she is singing about 'cant call a spade a spade' meaning he is lying and she knows this, and she watches the moon, with it having control over her emotions and the fact that she can't stop thinking of this person while doing this means this person also has control over her emotions because of some close connection they have
