Daniel Powter: Bad Day Meaning
Bad Day Lyrics
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just ahead of...

It's about a person just having a bad day. This person had bad days often, and there's something in their life they need to change. A relationship, their job, or just their position in life. There is something they are unhappy with, and because of this they often have bad days. And because of this one thing they are unhappy with everything goes wrong.

In my opinion and experience, I feel that this song is describing someone with depression and their everyday feeling of life; a bad day.
