    He’s speaking to his soulmate, whoever that is. He’s telling them to wait, and even if they feel outnumbered he will be out there somewhere

    I believe that this song is a guy who meets an older unhappily married woman..they become soulmates and despite the age difference, they are also deeply attracted to each other...they realise it can't be, but their love is beyond all cynicism, all judgement...it's higher. He tells her that it kills him to leave/ end the relationship ...how long will it take for her to find the one she deserves?...The song is his way of telling her that he will always love her beauty of spirit, and she must know that he will remember her for the rest of his life, as she will never forget him.

    I think it means he loves her but has other things to do right now and I think that she's an emotional roller coaster and is falling apart but if she calms down he'll be back for her

    I believe it's about a man who is saying goodbye to a woman he is deeply in love with, but believes she is too good for him in every way. He wants her to know she is everything, and will never be alone, he will always be there for her still.

    i think its because a few years ago, he left his dog in the car whilst he went to the shops. This is his final ode to the car.
    "never leave that girl so cold"
    is a ironic reference to the overwhelming heat in the car.
