   I think that DNCE is kinda talking about a "Cake War", because in the video, there are a bunch of damn sexy women fighting a really obese guy, and they're throwing cake at each other. If you haven't already watched the video, watch it. ;p

   Not trying to be dirty, but I think what he means by "eating cake by the ocean" is simply a cleaner version of "eating out" (if you get what I mean) on a beach. That's just me though.

    It could mean that people are eating cake at the beach and then suddenly they meet a girl they like, and they feel lucky and just starts singing about a cake by the ocean. They probably think that the cake brought them good luck.
