Limit to your Love Lyrics

There's a limit to your love
Like a waterfall in slow motion
Like a map with no ocean
There's a limit to your love
Your love, your love, your love

There's a limit to you care
So carelessly there, is it truth or dare
There's a limit to your...

"There is a limit for your love" means, your love is incomplete. Something essential is missing, a kind of life energy, think of a "waterfall in slow motion" that would not be a waterfall at all, for we all know it's rushing waters. Many maps have no ocean, but thinking of a global map, there should be oceans...so the imagery is clear: something in this love is missing.
So a love without enthusiasm, without energy! And there is something else missing.
What is love? Without care, there would not be love, meaning, care is essential. Someone who says: "I love you"
and does not care, cannot be loving.
Now the "truth or dare" is an old children's game, where players are given a choice between
answering truthfully or opt out with a "dare"
I believe the words "there is a limit to your love" do not really want an explanation, for there seems an underlying knowledge that it is pointless to expect an answer as the recipient of this question might opt out anyway with denial.
A song telling us not to expect the truth, as it so often happens between two people. For the truth often can be hurtful to the other so it is held back. That is also, why a lot of people have identified with these words as they paint a truthful picture.
I love the song, it's words, it's music and last not least it's singer.
