You are Not Alone Lyrics
-
I'm not new to listening to laeugrbss music, just new to playing the banjo. I still enjoy listening to The Stanley Brothers, Carl Story & His Ramblin' Mountaineeers and the list goes on and on. I think Ricky Skaggs, in his youth, sounded much like Carter Stanley. I've always wondered if that was the main reason why Ralph asked Ricky to join his band? I think Ricky Skaggs said that he was just 15 when he joined Ralp Stanley's band. My son and daughter have been raised on listening to all the old-time laeugrbss bands and singers. Their gospel songs are especially important to us. I have to admit, though, Emmylou Harris' Angel Band album is very, very good. Then too, what about The Bluegrass Band's Shine Hallelujah Shine albums Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. David McLaughlin is playing and singing in those albums. Murphy knows best, venture into Stanley Brothers territory and listen to their gut-wrenching recordings. (Is that what we call it, gut-wrenching? )
