John Legend: All of Me Meaning
Song Released: 2013
All of Me Lyrics
[Verse 1:]
What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down
What's going on in that beautiful mind
I'm on your magical mystery...

#1 top rated interpretation:He loves her completely. Everything about her. He'll give his all to her and she'll give her all to him. She's his beginning and his end. It's a love song!

#2 top rated interpretation:I think its about somebody who is deeply in love and will give everything and will go through the ends of the world with him/her and wants the person to know how deep the love is

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:I'm addicted to this song. His voice is amazing. I think its about their love for each other and about how she makes him feel. Nothing else matters except their love for each other that's all that he needs and with it he can get through anything in life. I think we underestimate the power of love and John hits it perfectly in this song.

I think that the song had to be soul and then we have been there for us to make things toward the music got the projects that someone had their own music, and that got to keep me, and big time rush can produced it and that came up with those two soul songs even the artists.

This song is about a man who loves a woman and they only loved and married one another. The singer who is John Legend dedicated this song to his wife and they now have two kids.
For the recent post, I don’t think this is the right song for your woman who married another man and now you guys are back together. Possibly she divorced her husband and you impregnated a woman and got two grown children with her but you guys never married and are now separated.
I think the song you should dedicate to your first love or greatest love is the song titled If Ever You Are In My Arms Again by Peabo Bryson. -
This must have to be the most moving love song of all time and in many ways its identical to my own personal experience ,I'm sure just it may be with you,I am a fan of a ballard song and this o e touched me like no other ever has as a perfect fit to a love of many years ago returning to find each other as we promised 20 years before only this time without the issues that where in the way . I beleive in my heart she is adressing the main reason we recenty fail as the same reason we did 20 years before .I never married anyone although have two adult chilren that now men themselves but if in all my life i had chosen someone it would be this same woman, who is the most woman I ever known ,to me this song is the most best fit as she was to me and perhaps always will be.
I have no doupts anyone who really has known real love would be able to hold back on the tears this song has shared with me. -
stick with your love throw out who you’re passionate about he is truly saying that this woman has ended the lonely chapters of his life and is only now finally starting to truly live and know himself. she has started him in this new road in life she was the beginning

"What would I do without your smart mouth. Drawing me in, and you kicking me out. You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down". She has a smart mouth ie makes cheeky, possibly sarcastic retorts. He'd miss even her smart mouth. Drawing in and kicking out - She draws him in & then pushes him away. She is confusing him making his 'head spin' and he can't 'pin down' her feelings.
"Whats going on in that beautiful mind, I’m on your magical mystery ride.
And I’m so dizzy, don’t know what hit me, but I’ll be alright". He is asking what's going on in her head. He's on this magical journey with her and its making him dizzy but he's reassuring her he will be alright.
"My head’s under water
But I’m breathing fine
You’re crazy and I’m out of my mind" His head is under water meaning his emotions but again reassuring her that whilst thatany emotions should have him drowning, he's breathing just fine.
Crazy and out of my mind - Love makes you do crazy things & often makes you feel like your out of your mind.
"Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I’ll give my all to you". Could be 2 things, physically or mentally. Mentally the curves & edges of a mental health issue or physically she's not a size 0 but he loves her. She has imperfections (flaws) but to him they are perfect because they are a part of her.
He wants her to give him her all and he will do the same. Possibly asking for some reassurance himself that she feels the same way.
"How many times do I have to tell you
Even when you’re crying you’re beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I’m around through every mood". Again insuinates possible mental health issue. She obviously has low self esteem/body confidence. She doesnt think she's beautiful and she cries but he's telling her she is wrong. When the outside world is trying to bring her down he is telling her he is and will be there through all of it. For better or worse you might say.
"Cards on the table, we’re both showing hearts
Risking it all, though it’s hard". They are both baring their hearts or feelings to each other. He's acknowledging the fact that opening up your heart is a risk (a risk of getting hurt) and he knows its hard to bring those walls down. Probably both been hurt before.
To me it's pretty self explanatory but I guess it depends on life experiences.
And with that I need to go find my man & tell him I love him cos this be our song -
I think the problem about this song is for young people to feel closet, because they tried to get the songs packaged up to the record deal in UK, but people need more illness and more young lives than others, than other people.

It could be an attempt at dressing a Person with a dissociative identity disorder.

I Think it is about relationships with others. Sometimes we love until it hurts. People that we entrusted with ours hearts can be the very same ones that tries to destroy your soul. You must come to your own conclusions--whether to forgive, forget and continue to love that person or know when to just cut bait and live for yourself because this person will never change and will continue to hurt you probably forever.

As someone who has lived with a loved one who struggles with a mood disorder, this song is clearly about loving someone with mental illness."all your curves and all your edges", "can't pin you down" speak to what could be severe mood swings and the unpredictability that comes with certain types of mental illness.
The phrase "beautiful mind" is a coded clue to this interpretation, a reference to the Russell Crowe movie of the same name, in which Crowe plays a schizophrenic mathematician.
Legend does not try to disguise the meaning of the song: "the world's beating you down, i'm around through every mood". People with mood disorders find the world, at times, unbearable, and that there is no place for them in it. A short time later they might tell you they are fine, and enjoying writing a review of their new favorite movie. The lows are very low, the highs, very high.Even though he is professing his absolute devotion to his love, there is a feeling of melancholy in the music.
This is a beautiful song-brave, personal, moving, and honest. Cheers to John Legend. Thanks for sharing. -
I think it's both love and physical sexual attractions.
