Among Angels Lyrics
There's no one there, my friend, any better
I might know what you mean
When you say you fall apart
Aren't we all the same?
In and out of doubt
I can see angels standing around you
They shimmer like...

This is definitely one of my favourite Kate Bush songs. It addresses the despair we feel when we are in a dark place in life and forget about the people who care about us - angels - who will forever be there for support. The song obviously lends itself to a religious interpretation, though I think this misconstrues the figurative nature of its subject matter; our angels are people who, whether physically present or not, provide us with the solace of knowing that their love is eternal and unwavering, and their support should not be forgotten.
Kate Bush is simply wonderful.
