    I think that main issue of this song is, that
    mad (resp. mentally ill) grandmother inform young
    King about existence of THEM and that she is with
    contact with them and therefore could be pottentially dangerous, so suggested King to be her friend...

    I interpret in one of two ways...

    1st - The song could be about him(Kid King Diamond) dealing with his Grandmother's death; perhaps she came to him in a dream or he is haunted by nightmares.

    2nd - It could be about demintia. King Diamond's Grandmother suffered from Alhtzhiemers & as a child, witnessing her mental episodes, it scared him. He feared that one day he may suffer the same fate.

    ...That or his crazy grandma came to live with him & they stuck her in the attic. Lolz

    It's about his crazy ass grandma that just got back from the insane asylum, and the boy (king diamond as a kid) is welcoming his crazy grandma home.
