Come With Me Now Lyrics
Come with me now
Whoa, come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa, come with me now
I'm gonna show you how
Whoa, come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa, come with me now
I'm gonna show you how
Afraid to...

Anyone every stop to think maybe it’s about our everyday struggles in life and how only we have the power to choose the outcome??

I don't see any religious interpretations except for the possible phrase "I tried to sell my soul tonight..." but more than likely that's used in a metaphorical sense. For full disclosure, I don't think that any gods exist or even the "devil" for that matter. It may be alluding to sex. But that's what's always on my mind, so...

I agree, he's fed up and thinking of suicide, he want's to sell his soul, as in wanting something for the act, the devil wants him to give it freely. He's afraid of what's next, when your born you have no fear of anything. In the end it's a stalemate. Love the song, visuals are awesome. Love the water scenes, some are played backwards for effect. The struggle of the actors in the water mirror the internal fight of struggle they are facing.

I agree with the Devil interpretation generally. I don't God has anything to do with the lyrics/story. After the Devil "wouldn't even take a bite", the next chorus changes to "Far away I heard him say (Come with me now)".
I don't interpret this to be God or someone else. It's still the Devil - still recruiting - but he's farther away now because even the Devil is somehow not as interested or has moved on for the moment. Almost like saying this guy is so lost, even the Devil is not interested.
Another interpretation is the temptation from the Devil is now less and fading away. -
This song is, at least to me, very clearly about panic disorder. The devil or any iteration thereof has nothing to do with it. I cannot imagine better lyrics to sum up the feelings of someone who suffers from generalized anxiety and panic attacks. Re-read the lyrics in this context and I submit they are totally self-explanatory. No further elaboration is needed.

I think he is talking about how Reality is getting the best of him and everyone around him. He is slowly getting sucked in and is trying to resist. He could be addressing Satan or the devil. That's just how I interpret it.
-
I got the feeling that the song was about the story of 'Faust'.

After the opening chorus, the singer describes his life, saying he has "wasted breath" and "wasted time" being "caught up in this world". He then says he "was born without this fear" (of losing control), but he is essentially fed-up with conflict and confusion, and that "now" is the time he will choose a side, dark or light. I agree with the thought that it is the Devil that is asking him to "come with me now / I'm goin' take you down" and I think it is still this Devil talking when he says "I'm goin' show you how" responding to the singer saying he needs to "lose himself tonight". Basically, the songs seems to mainly detail the Devil's temptation, but there are times when it G-d has prevented him from succeeding. The singer tries to give in to the Devil, saying he's "confused" and "tried to sell his soul last night" but that something stopped the Devil from "bit(ing)". In the bridge right after, the singer then differentiates the "come with me now" command of this section by describing it as "far away", making me think THIS is the faint voice of God asking him to quickly come to HIS side, not Satan's. I don't think the singer chooses a side by the end, it just leaves off with the Devil's temptation once again. An emotional song, even without the microphone distortion ;)

He is narrating what the devil told him. He explains that because he has been "Afraid to lose control
And caught up in this world" he has
"wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death" He has wasted his time on Earth moving "with my head" instead of his heart. And for these reasons the devil is telling him "(whoa), come with me now, (whoa) I'm gonna take you down". Then saying "far away, I heard him say,(come with me now) don't delay, I heard him say (come with me now)". The devil wants to promptly take him down to hell.

He's not talking to the devil. The part where he talks about selling his soul the singer addresses satan as 'he'. Therefore, the singer is not talking TO the devil at any point. It seems the singer realizes that there's just nothing for him in the physical, temporal world. In my interpretation, I think God is the one saying 'come with me now'. This is saying "hey, I can offer you something better than 'feelings confused with reality'". You can extrapolate the rest on your own, but that's my take away, especially since they're an alt rock band, which often has Christian influence as a genre.
