La Roux: Bulletproof Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Bulletproof Lyrics
I'm having fun; don't put me down
I'll never let you sweep me off my feet
I won't let you in again
The messages I've tried to send
My information's just not going in
Burning bridges shore to...

She has been hurt one too many times and she now knows how to avoid getting hurt again and is ready to take on the worst

I think that in this song, she is trying to say that she has been in love many times, but every time the guy plays her or something. She has her eyes still set on love, but she knows now that her love life always goes bad, so this time she will be "bulletproof" meaning she won't let one horrible guy ruin her life. She is also talking to a guy she was not able to get over before, but now has no reason to want him back anymore, that she is over him.
