Lauren Daigle: Losing My Religion Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Losing My Religion Lyrics
Playing a role I have to play
I'm getting tired, it's safe to say
Living behind a masquerade
No more performing out of fear
I'm trying to keep my conscience clear
It all seems so insincere
I'd trade it all...

It's not about going to church or reading the Bible as much as it is about talking to him and listening for his voice. Relationship is about so much more than just going through the rituals of Christian living. It's about honest dependants and sencere servitude.

My interpretation of this song is that Lauren is losing her “religion” meaning she is no longer putting a name (religious name example: baptist, catholic, Christian etc.) on her relationship with God. It’s just simply a relationship with God! A pure and true relationship. She is going above and beyond of what she currently knows with the knowledge of the worlds views of how to have a relationship with God!
