   He loves her, but he has to run away for some reason.

    I think its about growing old together. Well for me at least,

    It sound to me as if she asks him to spend his life with here and the comparing is just the other word for better or worse... and since rivers go to the ocean, its where they grow old, and a dark room represents death.
    
    Heed a message, im the runner, as in he is something she caries and runs away with to keep him safeor keeps his secrets, the rebel and daughter i could see in many ways... wich are hard to explain, but i think she decribes them as opposite people, that attract each other, because all the parents hate when their daugthers get with bad boys, so she is describing that situation in that line i think.
    
    It could be a very desperate sad song about a girl who found the true love but does not get the feelings back, even tho she promises everything in return...

    I guess its a song about drugs. She is a drug following him and he wants to escape but after some tries he gives up probably not for the first time according his face in the video. As soon he stops running she kisses him getting him back to the feeling of this pleasure and he is againg addicted. Her eyes at the en want to say that noone can escape...

    He has died.... He tried to protect her, the love of his life, who rode with him on his motor cycle, during the crash... He died on the spot... she was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries... She wanted to join him in death, having been together since childhood... but he would not let her...wanted her to go on... and stay with their two children. But she just could not live without him... and in the end...after 4 days... he broke, accepted her wish...turned around and took her in his arms. Although this is what she had to do, she looked back at their two children, in pain....
    This is what this song and video mean to me, because this is what happened to 2 dear friends of ours, to which we said goodbye today.....
