Manchester Orchestra: Where Have You Been Meaning
Where Have You Been Lyrics
I heard you're coming back to life just for the fourth
I've been catching all your ghosts for every season
I pray to god you won't come back here anymore
do you pray with him, too?
They should deliver...

To me he is talking about confusion as to where God is in all this. When he says “when you look at me I will be digesting your legs” I think he is saying he’s too busy devouring everything in front of him blindly to even recognize God and even if he did recognize Gods presence or works it would be too late because he would have already missed it due to his own blindness in life. When he says they should deliver blessing to his porch I think it’s a reference to not being able to see Gods blessings without them being from Amazon or some material goods. Like he can’t recognize a blessing unless it’s material.

The song is referring to different parts of the bible, and saying its ok to be angry with god sometimes, and how anger isn't a sin...the lines "When you look at me/Ill be digesting your legs" means that when you look at god, he is so great that you can only begin to see him. Thats all i really could make out...hoped i could help
