Matchbook Romance: Tiger Lily Meaning
Tiger Lily Lyrics
and you are by my side.
We're talking about our lives,
like we've known each other forever.
The time flies by,
with the sound of your voice.
It’s close to paradise,
with the end surely near.
and If I could only stop the car

This song is about a person who doesn't want to let go of the one he loves. They're looking back on their time together and truly embracing it because it doesn't seem like they have much time left for whatever reason.
"Why does tonight have to end? Why don't we hit restart, and pause it at our favorite parts, we'll skip the goodbyes."
This part of the song is, in my opinion, the strongest and most amazing part. They are willing to start over just so that they have more time together. They want to look back on their time together and just look at the good parts.
This song is ultimately saying that in the end, only the good times matter. When it comes down to it, look on the bright side of things because one day, that one special person might be all you have.
