Anyone who doesn't realize this song is about drugs has never done drugs. After a long night of MDMA, or cocaine, or both simultaneously, and the aftermath of not ever going to sleep, you'll understand perfectly well what this song is talking about. Not only does the sunlight hurt your eyes, but you want to avoid all contact with human beings until you get back to normal. Proof enough that I'm right is that you don't hear this song unless you're hanging out with the EDM crowd.

On first listen it sounds like he's talking about someone who's died.
Though, with the video showcasing a young teen's room that appears to be (possibly) one of the band member's room, it could also be inferred that it's about getting famous.
The band is "going to the stars" i.e. now that they have their music being played on air and are gaining more popularity they have met up with the music elite.
The "storm has finally come" could mean that now they have contracts and obligations and it's a rush of new things coming their way, as opposed to just playing for fun in bars and garages.
