    That single, bill paying, home alone, entrepreneur woman who has everything she needs. This is what Ne-Yo is singing about. "She's got her own thing" is why he loves her, a lot of smart men aren't attracted to pretty dumb girls but find pretty smart and independent women a whole lot more stimulating because of their spirit.

    The song is about wanting a woman who takes care of her own things, pays her own bills, and makes her own money. This "Miss Independent" may want a guy, but she doesn't need him to help her. She doesn't need a "Captain Save a Hoe". Some may say he wants her to do all the work and make the money but he has his own money. They both have their own things. He finds that independence attractive making her more sexy than she already is.
