    The opening lyrics set the tone for a person who hasn't slept all night. They have been waiting for their lover to come home. They have finally realized that this person is cheating on them with a new love.
    It is the realization of the ending of their relationship. The "Chain" is the bind of love that the lover had promised the person that would never end, or break.

    Ich habe von diesem Lied geträumt.
    Ich war ganz allein in einem Flur und alle Menschen die mir wichtig waren haben mich verlassen. Ich hatte eine Kette um den Hals und hörte dieses Lied. Mir wurde klar,dass ich ganz allein bin.

    I heard on the radio a few weeks ago that this song was about the band and what tied them together. As there was a rift in the band between the two woman.
