Thinking of Me Lyrics

Winter time in London
Are you making plans?
Are you still rocking Converse with your old Ray Bans
If you're sitting in the places that we used to be,
Or if you're somewhere listening to Bob Marley

Then I know that you're...

This is a song about a couple who have broken up.

Olly (or the person in the song) is still in love with the girl.

Verse 1: He's thinking about what she's doing now: "are you making plans; are you still rocking Converse with those old Ray Bans". he remembers things they've done together.at the end of each verse he says, if you're doing this, if you remember that, "then I know that you're somewhere thinking of me" At the end of this verse, he mentions listening to Bob Marley.

Verse 2- This is about Olly remembering a trip to the beach, free drinks for a young couple and that Bacardi breeze."do you still pick up the seashells on that pebble beach" "remember when..."

    Verse 3:
Here Olly tries to make light, "no point regretting that it didn't last". He's just happy about what he had.

Then he goes back into memorie-mode.

Remembering going home on the bus "taking you home on that 86" and being scared when her Dad chased him down the street after kisses on the doorstep.

    Verse 4:
"Bumped into Irene" Irene, I assume, must be a friend, sister or family of Olly's ex. "She told me that you got yourself somebody new" Poor, heartbroken Olly-his ex-girlfriend has a new boyfriend.
Irene tells Olly that he is soooo nice. But cheeky Olly comforts himself "I remember that you like a pinch of spice"

Chorus: The chorus notes that "I know you're somewhere, thinking of me"

This is about remembering your ex and all those happy memories.
