Pigs Lyrics

Big man, pig man, ha ha charade you are.
You well heeled big wheel, ha ha charade you are.
And when your hand is on your heart,
You're nearly a good laugh,
Almost a joker,
With your head down in the pig bin,
Saying "Keep on digging."
Pig stain...

The pigs are at the top of the social ladder, the government, police force etc., the sheep conform to their beliefs and try to live their own day to day lives. The dogs are trying to advocate aggression and violence towards the other social groups.

One of the 3 represent all of us. Pigs=the ones with power, ones who take more than they need, the rich, the pigs of society.sheep=people who follow blindly (the Lord's prayer is actually said during the album a sort of dry humor toward those who follow religion blindly) people unaware of the horror around them or to wrapped up in mass confusion to care, innocent but ignorant ones who just eat shit sleep fuck repeat. Dogs= soilders, loyal ones, one who run in packs to not be alone, men who need just a simple home someone who love them and a feels safe with that one

I don't know whether the first two verses were created with a specific person in mind, but the third verse was a direct reference to Mary Whitehouse, probably the best known "morality" campaingner in the seventies. Against sex before marriage, homosexuality, nudity on TV etc she was such an archetype that there was even a satirical BBC redio/TV series, called The Mary Whitehouse Experience - needless to say most of it's content would have offended her.

this song, listening to it in the late 70's believed was a symbolic form of expression about people in power who are digging their own graves in mud on their chins with the appetite of glutteny in hiding their evil sins in the inside of a whitehouse while they are trying to keep control of our feelings against it on the outside of them with bright lips and cold feet. personnaly did not feel comfortable, you can get the feeling that you are under the ''wrath of god'', and heading over the cliff if we don't change our ways from sin. your faith is being tested here if you are on the defensive, if you are on the offence you can feel that you are'' playing god'' in persecuting us for our sinful nature.

this song is about people who are considered to be at the top of the social ladder. These people have money, power and manipulate the rest of society and encourage them to be very competitive so that the "pigs" can remain powerful through it all. The "pigs" manipulate the businessmen or the "dogs".

Pigs are the people in control of government and sheep are the everyday people and dogs are the war mongers.

Pigs are the political rulers, the sheep are the people who just want to live their lives and the dogs are the war mongers.
