So Tell Me Why Lyrics

I'd like to put to rest the rumours
I'd like to put to rest the lies
I'd like to throw away the past
And show you how I feel inside

I'll be your taxi and your driver
I'll be your road if you need
I'd like to push and push and push
Just to make...

He is in love with a girl and she has a hard time accepting or giving love.
He is going to keep pushing trying to make her feel it. Let her know she can trust in him, love him as he isn't going to stop or go anywhere. He will do anything and give her anything she needs.. be anyway she needs.
She is emotionless, cold and not really loving. That tears him up inside.

    As far as the breakdown:
'I'd like to put to rest the rumours
I'd like to put to rest the lies
I'd like to throw away the past' - The hurt that's been done to her, the rumours etc that she is incapable of love and trust.

'You make my blood boil hot
And my heart beat like a drum' - He Loves her.. feelings of love but he gets upset like his efforts are for not.

'I'd like to do to you girl
Things that ain't never been done' - including making her trust and love

The singer is in love with a girl and telling her that she's a little...dry (But your river of emotion for me flows like a dried up stream). He wants to put to rest/to bed the rumors and lies. And his emotions make him feel like his blood is boiling. (You make my blood boil hot). He wonders why he feels this way around her.
