Roads Lyrics

Oh, can't anybody see
We've got a war to fight?
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment?
How can it feel, this wrong?
Storm
In the morning light
I feel, no more
Can I say frozen to...

To me these are the thoughts one has when sensing a deep loss and wrongness in their world that they think others would notice but, the earth keeps turning and no one bats an eye.

To me this song is about the fact that life is going to be hard, no matter what "they say" we are always going to have " a war to fight"

"Oh, can't anybody see" to me highlights the blindness of society, in regards to the horrors we find ourselves so disturbingly adjusted to.

"We've got a war to fight" is to say we should be fighting back against the sick people that run this world, who exploit resources and the lives of those who inhabit this planet.

    "Never found our way
Regardless of what they say" is to point out the fact that no matter what happens, we mostly find our efforts unsuccessful, or rarely beneficial, when in conflict with "the elites" or "the system" and that no matter how obviously sinister and abhorrent our leaders are in their communications and actions, they continue to rule over us.

I think it's a woman who just had her first affair and is ridden with guilt.
It's more the way the song is sung, more than just the words

It is about forbidden love maybe about a homosexual relationship. It is a truly haunting song.
