To me, it feels like the singer is grieving. He is grieving the love of his life, and trying to find comfort in the memories of her love and support. I especially feel this when the female voice starts singing “It’s gonna be ok” over and over, as if repeating it again and again will make it true.

Okay might sound a bit strange. I believe he's referring to his love of music throughout and how it provides him with a sage place and he relates to it
