Song Released: 2009
You're Going Down Lyrics
To me it's what we when we're bored
I feel the heat coming off of the blacktop
And it makes me want it more
Because I'm hyped up, outta control
If it's a fight I'm ready to go
I wouldn't put my money on the...

#1 top rated interpretation:I realize that this interpretation misses a couple of lines. The interpretation is in roughly the same order as the lyrics of the song are.
I think it's about a victim of bullying. Probably in gradeschool he was tormented by a bigger, stronger person. Now he's older, bigger, built, and PO'd. He's looking for a fight and he knows he won't lose. He'd waited so long to lash out at his tormentor, but he was to weak to do so. The tables, as the song says, are turned. He's not running this time. In the past he would run from the pain, now he's facing it. Sometimes he would get away and there would be no fight, but this time it's going to end in blood. He' facing his tormentor now, reminding him of all the times that the bully had hurt him. The bully can pretend not to be afraid, but he better be prepared for a beating. Most times what a bully does seems small and petty, but it has built up over time and our pretaginist just can't ignore it anymore. At the end of the song it seems that he has beaten down the bully and taken his revenge. He didn't run. He didn't lose. He didn't go down. -
A lot of people are saying this song is about a fight, but I think it’s about sex. There’s a lot of hints that point to it being about two people getting it on.

i honestly thought it was about a couple that broke up in a bad way, and the person who was mistreaded is now taking revenge on his or her ex

Okay like I always interpreted this song as somebody beating the shit out of their spouse. Like, that's what the lyrics make me think of. I mean I don't think anything really disproves this theory except maybe "i wouldn't put my money on the other guy if you know what I already know". But with a name like sick puppies and an album called tri polar I think my theory is entirely plausible. Like with the 'bully' theory, how is being bullied for years just referred to as "petty shit", sounds to me like a toxic relationship where the man is getting abused and bitched at about everything and finally just snaps and beats his spouse, not condoning it but that's what I think

This is about how a victim of bullying retaliates against the bully. It also shows how our actions may have major consequences.
-
This song is likely about people who are standing up for themselves after being bullied. The victim most likely suffered from internal emotional instability after being bullied, meaning that they may seem like the kind of person to be cheerful, but on the inside they are pure hatred.

-
I think it's about someone who's finally saying "screw you" and is starting to stand up for him/herself.
-
its about when someone is messing with you....after you have taken their shit long enough you turn the tables on them and leave them defenseless
