Eyes Blue Like The Atlantic Lyrics
And I'm going down like the Titanic
Eyes blue like the Atlantic
And I'm going down like the Titanic
Eyes blue like the Atlantic
And I'm going down like the Titanic
Eyes blue like the Atlantic
And I'm going down...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think "eyes blue, like the Atlantic" stands for a despair, with so many tears it could fill the Atlantic. I think "Going down like the titanic" could mean they have lost them self in their own sadness and despair, the titanic sank in the north Atlantic ocean, it was said to be unsinkable. But yet it sank, and with that; even if they thought the happiness, the love, the fun, would last forever... It came to an unexpected demise. Not everything can last and I think this song represents this.

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:Someone you like with blue eyes. The "like the Atlantic" refers to the Atlantic Ocean and referring to the eyes as the ocean is a simile/metaphor. Going down like the Titanic means you are falling for them, or just really like them. It could also mean a toxic relationship, where you are being pulled down by the person with blue eyes, but most likely refers to love. That's the beauty of art, you can interpret it into what you want.
PS: if you think of someone while listening to this song, you prolly like them <3 -
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:I think that it is a yanking pulling feeling, In a version of a song I found that his girlfriend cheated on him, so maybe the eye blue thing is his tears..sadness and tradgedy is represented with blue. his hearts like a huge ship(the titanic) so in his ocean of tears it drags him down into deep dispare. after all, break ups are difficult,

I’m getting more falling in love vibes, but whoever they like is in love/dating someone else. Their eyes are blue, and them going down like the titanic is like they are too far gone to stop loving.
-
What i think is that it could be talking about the person is drowning i had a dream with this song the guy was singing this in his head while he fell off the titanic as it sank and it went to his loves perspective and it turned out it might've been a song they both knew and that they made. it makes sense and they both had blue eyes also the atlantic is deep so that could involve how deep their love was for eachother.

This song can be interpreted in many different ways.
It could be a love song, where the narrator is falling deeply for someone.
It could also be a toxic relationship, where the narrator is being pulled down/let down by their significant other.
It might also talk about how the narrator and their significant other's love is drowning. "Like the titanic" could be a simile, as the Titanic was thought to be unsinkable, but still sank one day. The narrator and their partner thought their love would last forever, but it died down.
And, it also may be about loss. "Eyes blue like the Atlantic" could represent a dozen rivers of tears. -
The song itself is already obviously a depressing song. 'Eyes blue like the Atlantic' to me, seems like an interpretation of one person is lost- drowning- in the others eyes.
'And I'm going down like the Titanic' They are going to have the same fate as the Titanic did. Suicide as an example. Maybe one didn't love the other and wishes to perish like the Titanic did. -
I think this song is about two people falling in love. The both have blue eyes, hence “eyes blue like the Atlantic” and “I’m going down like the titanic” shows they are falling for each other.

i think its a person thats going down
unu
ive heard way too many sad storys about this song so this is a oerson that went downstairs with blue eyes
done -
i heard someone say it was about a couple who commit s*icide by drowning themselves in the Atlantic ocean. I heard about it somewhere but idk where
-
I think that maybe they're heartbroken, and their feelings are sinking like the titanic. Or maybe just as beautiful and pure like the atlantic
-
I think the 'eyes blue like the atlantic' could mean like they are pretty or the eyes are filled with blue tears and sorrow. I also think 'And I'm going down like the titanic' could mean that they were not able to sink because they thought they were happy or maybe linking to the beautiful idea they don't know they are that could link to that they are committing suicide like it says 'I'm going down'. As I think of this song I also think that they may have lost someone when they went to the sea though they said they will come back just like people said the titanic would and they could just think of that person because of their eyes.
-
I think that it is a yanking pulling feeling, In a version of a song I found that his girlfriend cheated on him, so maybe the eye blue thing is his tears.. his hearts like a huge ship(the titanic) so in his ocean of tears it drags him down into deep dispare. after all, break ups are difficult,

I think it means “going down like the titanic” that your falling into a trap you can’t get out of
-
I think it means... Even the nicest people can throw obstacles at you that you can't get away from, and you hit that obstacle and it hurts you so you sink a little ways then snap into a deep depression that you can't get out of.
-
Crush with blue eyes (like the atlantic) when you see his you fall in love nad this love going you to down (going down like the Titanic).
