    about a guy who loved and cared for a girl who got through his walls and took them all down then left him with nothing but the love he still feels for her and he knows that he has to cut that part of his heart out of him and forget her

    I think this song (in my own humble opinion) is about a guy who has been betrayed by his now "x" who he loved so much. And now the part of him that he has devoted to her, he wants to rid of himself(his heart). Now he is continplating suicide. He can't believe he let this happen to himself. "the hate and the fear the nightmares that wake me up in tears the nightmares and the hate" he doesn't want to deal with it anymore, and just be done with it.

    This song is about a person who gave up everything for a relationship, and opened up and trusted, but ended up back firing because the partner in the relationship wasn't loyal, and now that person wants the piece of him that cared for her gone.
