Surf Curse: Freaks Meaning
Song Released: 2021
Freaks Lyrics
I need a place to stay while I can, cover up my face.
Don't cry.
I am just a freak. I am just a freak. I am just a freak. I am just a freak.
My head is filled with parasites. Black holes...
-
After reading the other interpretations, I think it is a mix of the two. I personally believe that the singer has been dumped by a girl ("I dream of you almost every night"). He then copes with this by doing high amounts of drugs ("Black holes cover up my eyes"). After this happens, he gets depressed and has suicidal thoughts ("Hopefully, I won't wake up this time"). All in all, this is just my opinion and I'm not sure if this is right so don't expect me to be right.

Freaks is the eighth track from Surf Curse’s 2013 album, Buds.
The song alludes that the artist’s dreams are a safe haven for where he can be with the person he deeply cares for who doesn’t view him as a “freak” or social outcast. He wants to stay in his dream and not wake up to escape from everyone but that one person. -
The song is likely about the vocalist's negative and suicide thoughts that developed after he lost someone in death, or he lost a friend or girlfriend just via fight.

its about overdose from drugs , black holes filing his eyes ( pupils expanding from drugs / wont wake up this time)
