T-Pain: 5 O'Clock Meaning
Song Released: 2011
5 O'Clock Lyrics
It’s 5 o’ clock in the morning
Conversation got boring
You said you’d go into bed soon
So I snuck off to your bedroom
And I thought I’d just wait there
Until I heard you come up the stairs
And I pretended I was sleeping and I...

#1 top rated interpretation:I see it about getting bored with the same club/sleeping around lifestyle and he is starting to appreciate some security that he can depend and trust on her..thats the difference between his part hoping to creep IN (to where she is) and her used to him playing around that she was hoping he was" creeping" (cheating) just to prove she's right when she goes "crazy/jealous" yet he kinda gets off on her gettn crazy for him but still wants2 prove he isn't messing around so he left the club earlier thn when it closed even when he could have left w/any chick but decided to call her instead cuz she's the one for him, drunk or not. She pretending to sleep/being too tired yet still gives him loving and they are there for eachother - even at 5am

#2 top rated interpretation:I believe that this song has a different meaning after watching the music video several times. T-Pains character is at a club with his friends (possibly a strip club) and on his way home to have drunk sex with his girlfriend (Lily Allen). Meanwhile, on the way home he passes Wiz Khalifa's character who is presumably coming back from T-Pain's girlfriend's house after having an affair while her boyfriend is at the club. This is confirmed by the IPhone that is dropped in the street. Both T-pain and Wiz Khalifa have Iphones that they set on the charger while they are with Lily. Lily seems to be deep in thought as T-pain comes home and she has to act normal about the situation.

This song is about T-Pains girlfriend Lilly waiting up for him to come home from the club because its getting so late and she's trying to get some but he is taking his time to get home so she thinks he is cheating and is going crazy
-
What I don't understand is: why is lily allen sneeking in HIS bedroom? don't they share one? are they living together in a flat as roommates?
-
T-Pain is a creep that bangs lilly allen when shes fake sleeping but hes fine with it cause shes a desperate hoe... for show. I mean who would sleep with a worm with a receiding dread line, gold teeth, and a top hat?.... someone with a lot of money obviously. If I was wiz Khalifa and t-pain bumped into me on the street.. I woulda ended the misery of all his listeners by ending him. Yeah but hes just making a living, plus you can pick out the dumb people who actually like him and eliminates the process of figuring whether they're alright to hang out with. yeah. Basically.. end of the day. Lilly allen is a whore.. for sure. GO to bed. its 5 o clock.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

This song is about T-Pain's "clubbin'" lifestyle and how his actions interfere with his love life. In the video, you see Lily Allen, his girlfriend, is by herself until the very end. While T-Pain is at the club, Lily is at home alone, eating, sitting around, getting ready for bed, talking to him, and she doesn't know where he is and wants him to come home. She is worried he is out cheating, when really, he's just living his life the best way he knows how. Wiz Khalifa shares the same lifestyle, so I assume that is why he is featured in the song.

This song is about a booty call.
